To all of the great guests that we have had the pleasure of hunting with this past season, we here at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge would like to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving. And on this day, we would like to give thanks for the wonderful country that we live in that allows its citizens the right to bear arms,

pursue our native wild game and harvest it while here with us.

We are also thankful to be done with the full moon that has plagued us for the last week. Because that bright moon along with the warm November weather has been really making the hunting slow over the

last few days. Fortunately before the moon set in, we had some cool days and a better moon so our hunters saw lots of game, missed some and knocked down a few great ones.

One of the great ones was harvested was by Ben, who was down hunting with our good friend and Special Forces veteran Greg Stube while they were here filming for his new TV show. So a big congrats to Ron on a fine buck and a giant Thank You to Greg for giving the Veteran’s Day speech at our great local private school, Patrick Henry, while here with us!

Another of the great bucks that was killed over the last week or so was the giant 8 point shot by Jack while hunting here with our friend Barry. It was our best buck of the season off of Pleasant Hill and grossed 131 inches. We also had a nice 8 point killed by Scott while he was down hunting with his friend John, two nice hogs killed by Brent while he was down hunting with his brother Lane, and quite a few does by our hunters looking to stock their freezers up for the year. So a huge congrats to everyone that shared a successful hunt with us.

And like I said, the full moon is almost done with and the weather is supposed to turn cool this weekend, so more great hunting should be just around the corner. So give us a call if you want to squeeze in a hunt before the end of the year. We would love to have you join us!

Again, Happy Thanksgiving from Cypress Creek!
