Finally Another Blog – Great SC Hunting

Yes, we know the blog is late and we do apologize.  We wanted to get a blog out much earlier, but the memory stick with all the latest hunters and their hogs, etc. has been lost.  We are going to give you the ones that we have and if the hunters that harvested hogs do not see your pictures on the blog, please email your pictures to us so that we can completely catch up on our blog.  Our email address is dharrellhunts@aol.com.

Hunting in February for the most part has been especially good.  We have harvested many great hogs and have had lots of great friends at our lodge.  Our Cypress Creek family continues to grow each year and it’s wonderful when we all get together again for some great SC Hunting.

Recently we have obtained a new property that we have been hoping to get for many years.  This property has about  1 1/2 miles of Savannah River front with lots of swamps, hardwoods, pine thickets, and beautiful cypress lakes.  Tons of game and a true hunters paradise.  We have been very busy working on roads, stands, feeders and food plot areas to make this special property show it’s potential.  Deer, hogs, turkeys, ducks, alligators, predators and more, this property has it all!  We can’t wait to share this great property with our guests.

On another note, beginning May 1st Cypress Creek will be offering night hunts for wild hogs and coyotes.  Hunters can use spotlights, laser lights, or night vision on these special hunts.  As most people know, hogs can be very nocturnal and night hunting will help control the hog population exploding in the SC low country.  If you would like to take advantage of these night hunts that will be conducted from May 1st thru July 1st, give Becky a call and get set for some exciting hunting.  You can also friend us on Facebook for pictures, hunting package specials and blog updates.

Now for the pictures of our hunters and their success from recent hunts.

The next annual group of hunters were here from PA and this group caught good weather and definitely made good on their hunt.  Jason, a new hunter with this group, was the 1st of the group to score on a great boar.148--Jason

Our good friend Mark was the next hunter to take a great hog when he shot his nice big tasty dry sow.153--Mark

Plenty of hogs were seen by this group and a few missed shots and opportunities is always part of the hunt. This was another great time with this group of hunters from PA.157- Zimmerman group
