Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge hosted another great long-range shooting class by Tactical Rifles, Inc this past weekend. And just as before, all of the students were immersed in the theory of shooting up to 1000 yards followed by one-on-one instruction on the range with some of their best rifles ranging from 204 Ruger to 338

Lapua. David, Chris and Dennis each worked closely with everyone to make sure that they came away from the weekend with as much info and practical experience as they could handle. Now it is up to each of the students to carry that knowledge back home and to keep practicing.

Over the week, we also had a few guests that were just hunting as well as a few of the long-range shooting students hit the woods, some in search of a big hog while others were on the hunt for a nice deer. When the smoke cleared, Jeff had taken a good 8 point before having to return to Ft. Bragg,

Del had shot a big sow and Scott had put a tasty meat hog down. We also had several big misses including one by a 460 pistol shooter at 60 yards as well as quite a few animals being passed. So all in all, a pretty good weekend for hunting in September, so a huge congratulations and big thank you to everyone that came, hunted and attended the shooting class.

We now have a few days off before a group of women hunters come in for a doe-only hunt this weekend as part of the Women in the Outdoors. They are truly a fun bunch, and we are looking forward to them helping us manage our doe population! The doe-only hunts is a
