turkey

Yes I know, it’s been a while since the last blog and it’s all my fault, Danny that is.  My only excuse is busy and a lot going on.  I can only do better and sooner on the next blog which is already in the planning stage.

March and April have come and gone so quickly for us at Cypress Creek with the South Carolina hog hunting, turkey hunting, our wounded warrior hunt and lots of mixed weather.

In good weather times, the hunting has been outstanding, but on the bad condition days, it has been a little tough, but that is how real hunting can be.  As you know we only provide fair chase hunting, because real hunters would not have it any other way.  As you will see in some of the upcoming pictures there has been some great hogs harvested and lots of mature turkeys.  Throw in a few coyotes to keep the hunting exciting.

There were a number of animals harvested and due to times and conditions, pictures were not taken but all those hunters know who they are and congratulations to you all.  If you have some pictures you can email to us we would love to get them and add them to our upcoming blogs.

Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge is experiencing a record breaking year for hunts booked for the balance of 2014 and many have already booked for 2015.  If you hope to get in on certain dates, be sure to contact Becky as soon as possible, the hunts are booking very fast.

In May and June we will be taking advantage of Night Hunting for hogs.  With hogs being mainly nocturnal animals, the success rate for these hunts are always extremely good.  It will be an excellent time to put some tasty pork on the grill and in the freezer.

Now for a look at some of the successful hunters recently at Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge.
